Founded in 2002 by instructor Érico Oliveira, the ActionFly Free Flight Team has become one of Brazil's leading organizations dedicated to the development of hang gliding and paragliding.

Since its creation, ActionFly has built its reputation by prioritizing safety, professionalism, customer satisfaction, and excellence across all of its services.

Committed to the continuous growth of free flight, our team actively participates in the world's most important competitions, aviation events, and flying sites. This constant interaction with pilots, manufacturers, schools, and partners from different countries allows us to stay at the forefront of the sport while bringing the latest knowledge, techniques, and technology to our team, students, and customers.

ActionFly operates at the main free-flight locations throughout the State of Rio de Janeiro. Over the years, we have completed more than 10,000 flights, including tandem flights, instructional flights, recreational flying, aerobatics, and competition flying.

Our team has also trained more than 100 new pilots and proudly represents some of the world's leading manufacturers of both Brazilian and imported flying equipment.

 

Pilot & Team Director — Érico Oliveira

 

Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Érico Oliveira holds a postgraduate degree in Communications and has dedicated his life exclusively to free flight since 2000.

He is fully certified by Brazil's principal aviation and free-flight regulatory organizations in both Hang Gliding and Paragliding.

As an international competition pilot and Level 5 Instructor, Érico teaches:

• Safety Courses

• Tandem Pilot Training

• Cross-Country Flying

• High Performance Competition Flying

Throughout his career, he has also held several of the most important leadership positions within Brazilian free flight:

• Technical Director — São Conrado Free Flight Club (Brazil's oldest and most prestigious flying club)

• Technical Director — Rio de Janeiro State Free Flight Federation

• Technical Director — Brazilian Free Flight Confederation (CBVL)

• CBVL Technical Director — Brazilian Air Sports Commission

Érico has flown and trained pilots throughout Brazil as well as in South America, North America, Europe, and other international flying destinations.

He remains an active competitor in the world's most prestigious championships and has consistently ranked among Brazil's elite pilots, becoming a Brazilian National Champion and maintaining a place among the country's Top 10 pilots for many consecutive years.

He has also been a regular member of the Brazilian National Team, representing Brazil in major international championships.

• Winner of Task 4 at the FAI Paragliding World Championship, held in Castelo, Brazil—the most prestigious event in the sport. Érico became the first Brazilian pilot in history to win a task at a Paragliding World Championship.
